Since 1987, SportsGraphics has continued to grow alongside the schools, athletic programs, universities, and sports organizations we serve across the country.
As demand for custom gym padding, outdoor padding, athletic graphics, and facility branding has increased, so has the need for more production, staging, and shipping space at our headquarters in Clarion, Iowa.
To support that growth, SportsGraphics began construction in January 2026 on an 18,000-square-foot expansion designed to increase production capacity, improve shipping efficiency, and help our team continue delivering custom athletic products with dependable turnaround times.

SportsGraphics has operated from its Clarion headquarters for decades, with design, manufacturing, assembly, and fulfillment handled under one roof.
As our customer base and order volume continued to grow, the existing facility began reaching its practical limits. Finished products required more staging space, production areas became increasingly busy, and higher shipping volume placed added demands on freight access.
Rather than changing the way we manufacture our products, the expansion was designed to give our team more room to do what we already do well.

What the 18,000-Square-Foot Expansion Adds
The new addition was planned around the day-to-day needs of production, staging, installation crews, and freight operations.
The expanded facility includes:
- Six loading dock doors to improve freight access and keep incoming and outgoing shipments moving efficiently.
- Covered drive-through loading lanes that allow customers, installation crews, and staff to load products indoors and stay protected from Iowa weather.
- Dedicated product staging space for completed orders and preassembled padding components.
- An installation vehicle service area with equipment for basic tire and fluid maintenance before crews head back on the road.
- Additional production capacity that gives teams more room to prepare materials and keep frequently used padding components ready for upcoming orders.
These improvements give SportsGraphics more flexibility to manage both custom projects and higher order volumes without crowding active manufacturing areas.
More Space for Faster Padding Production
One of the biggest benefits of the expansion is the additional space available for preparing common padding components in advance.
Our production team can now pre-cut wood backings and pre-glue high-density foam for standard padding sizes before individual orders enter final production.
When a custom order is placed, those prepared components can move more quickly into the finishing process, where they are wrapped with custom-printed vinyl based on the customer's colors, logos, and facility design.
This added staging and preparation space helps reduce production bottlenecks while preserving the customization that SportsGraphics customers expect.

The expansion also strengthens one of the less visible but critical parts of manufacturing: getting finished products out the door efficiently.
With additional loading docks and dedicated freight space, SportsGraphics can better accommodate large shipments, semi-truck freight, installation crews, and regional customer pickups.

Although SportsGraphics serves customers across the country, Clarion has remained the center of our operation.
The facility expansion allows us to continue keeping design, printing, padding production, assembly, staging, and fulfillment together at our Iowa headquarters.
That direct manufacturing model gives our team greater control over quality, customization, scheduling, and communication throughout the production process.
The new space does not change where or how SportsGraphics products are made. It gives our team more capacity to continue serving a growing customer base from the same Clarion facility we have called home for decades.
